forty-six years old.

I can't believe it's already over a week since I celebrated my forty-sixth birthday! I spent most of the day at work in a total daze and it still doesn't feel right - how can I be this age? I certainly don't feel it, but my bones definitely do! Anyway, I had a fabulous morning receiving beautiful gifts from Jazmine, she bought me some pretty things for my craft area, with the promise of more to come later. Throughout the day I had children singing happy birthday to me (I work as a Nursery Nurse, which is the best job in the world!) and I received some wonderful gifts from my colleagues. Later I went for a few drinks with friends after work, where Jazmine arrived with a lovely bouquet of flowers. Jazz and I then went out for dinner at Wallace & Co in Putney, where we shared grilled goat’s cheese salad, mini chorizos with a yoghurt and mint dip, chicken satay and fries.

Yesterday Jazmine took me to the Rose Theatre as a little treat to watch A Day in The Death of Joe Egg, though I know she only bought tickets because she has a crush on Ralf Little! A little late, but I'd like to say a big thank-you to my gorgeous daughter for such a special birthday! Love, Barrina.

  4. I love this blog. I remember yonks ago mentioning to Jazmine how lovely I thought it was to see someone else who gets on so well with their mum. Because I love my mum and I would shout it from the rooftops!

I hope you had a spectacular birthday Barri and I'm really happy that you have a best friend in each other.. don't care if that is cheesy!
